Ingredients in our Dry Shampoo
All our ingredients are locally sourced and USDA organic. Each of our dry shampoos for dogs contains organic rye flour, organic corn starch, organic hemp protein and organic essential oil.
Corn starch
Corn starch has numerous benefits! It absorbs excess oils in skin and fur, and aids in soothing, cleansing and protecting the skin. It helps with skin irritations, allergies, sunburns and itching. It contains vitamins A, B1, B2 and zinc.
Rye flour
Rye flour has awesome cleansing power! This is why we use it in FurScents Dry Shampoo for Dogs. The minerals in rye flour (zinc, magnesium, calcium and iron), along with its antioxidants, help improve your pup’s fur and skin. And when it’s time for a wet bath, it will wash right out of their fur without leaving any residue or buildup behind!
Hemp Protein
This essential ingredient offers very light, gentle exfoliation without being abrasive or causing irritation. Hemp protein is an excellent source of omegas 3, 6 and 9 and GLA (gamma-linolenic acid). Moisturizing and soothing, these rich fats work together to nourish hair and skin. Hemp protein also contains vitamin E to boost your pup's skin health even more.
100% USDA organic essential oils
FurScents Zen Lavender:
Lavender oil (Lavandula angustifolia) is considered one of the most versatile essential oils, creating a sense of peace and harmony and offering a calming effect on dogs – and their humans, too. This oil is soothing to the central nervous system and can ease your dog’s car-ride anxiety and carsickness. It can also help with allergies and insomnia.
FurScents Purifying Peppermint:
Peppermint oil (Menthae piperitae aetheroleum), when used as directed by your vet, can help support weight loss in your dog, generate a sense of alertness and also address issues like diarrhea and colic. Peppermint offers a natural cooling sensation to the skin.
Although we use a highly diluted concentration of peppermint in our formula, this is the most fragrant of our dry shampoos, so we recommend using it sparingly.
FurScents Restorative Cedarwood:
Cedarwood oil (Cedrus atlantica or cedrus deodara) has a wide range of beneficial properties, including being an antiseptic for the lungs and an expectorant for coughs like a kennel cough. It can help eliminate dandruff, strengthen kidney function, stimulate circulation and repel or kill pests like fleas. It’s good for resolving stiffness in dogs that commonly occurs with increasing age, as well as arthritis and back pain. It may also be used as a general calming tonic, especially for dogs with nervous aggression, who are especially shy or timid, or who need a greater sense of inner security, including those that have severe separation issues.

Our unscented Paw Balm is made entirely with organic ingredients: shea butter, coconut and olive oil, vitamin E and beeswax.
